So I feel like a big bloated blob. Good alliteration right? I managed to gain 3.5lbs in two weeks - Merry Christmas to me.

I feel a little disappointed in myself for the gain, but considering that I have not been exercising or eating as I should I guess the gain is to be expected. I am also feeling out of sorts in general, but I think that may be a PMS related thing.
Anyways - here's hoping that tomorrow is a better day and I can stop being little miss grumpy pants...

Try not to get discouraged, I know it can be very difficult when nothing's happening.
ReplyDeleteI've found it helpful to focus on my eating at times like that, forget about the scales, and just focus on eating right. And if I eat right for a week, I get something nice (a DVD, new make-up, something cheap but fun), and after that the next week is easier.
You don't have to reward yourself every week, just when it seems like it gets really tough, then you can motivate yourself by thinking "okay, this is hard, but if I manage to pull off this day / week without (insert bad habit here), I'll get myself a something-or-other!"
I've found it important to focus on small goals, something you KNOW you can achieve, even it it's tough. Bigger goals seem too daunting to me and therefore make me want to quit rather than try.
At least Christmas and New Year are over. I know what you mean about monthly and how grumpy it makes me. Look forward to reading all your successes this year coming.
