Getting it done

So I realized yesterday that I had not gone out to do any intentional exercise on Monday. Yikes! Then again my work had been 7:45 to 18:45…if I remember rightly I came home and passed out on my chair. Never a good sign.

Yesterday I did some intentional exercise in the rain – I went for a walk. It is not the most glamorous look, but the occasional walk in the rain is good for you I think. Today I will be doing some heavy duty cleaning of my apartment. We are near the end of our pipe replacement project and there is a film of dust and crud on the floors and countertops. It’s gross and yesterday I took off my socks to walk around the apartment and all I could feel was grittiness. It was nasty.

On a positive note – I am enjoying my teas again. If I can get some decaf tea bags out here I might start making iced tea that can sit in the fridge – nothing better than a nice cool glass of iced tea after a long walk! I have delved into my tea collection and have started drinking peppermint tea in the afternoons to perk me up a bit. It has no caffeine, but the mint just snaps me awake.

I truly need to get a program sorted out for myself. My breakfasts are good as is my water intake. I am very aware of what I eat before I eat as I know whatever goes in my mouth needs to be written down! I still need to work on my exercise or lack thereof. I have been using exhaustion as an excuse lately to not go out much. I really do need to start putting on my workout gear and doing the stairs when I get home each day and on the weekends I need to leave the apartment and just go. It doesn’t really matter what my destination is, I just need to move. That’s the key – just moving.

I will be getting it done from here on out. I need to see the numbers continue on a downward trend. When we flew out to Hong Kong from the US I knew I would be uncomfortable at my size, but little did I know just how bad it was going to be. I cannot fly at that size again – it was too hard on me.
