10% goal and a whiteboard

I have decided that looking at the whole dropping 50% of my current weught is too huge a goal right now.  It is too large and too daunting to stare at in the face.  Instead I am going to work on losing 10% of my current weight.  That is still a HUGE amount, but much easier to approach than the 140lbs or 10stone or 63.6kg.

As of my last weigh-in I need to try to drop 28lbs or 2stone or 12.7kg.  So that's a much nicer number to face.  I am going to set-up my small white board at home so that I can have a countdown on it and take pictures each week of the status.  It is a little ridiculous, but I need a visual aid like that to really keep me focused on the task at hand.

I hope that this goal will be realised within the next 3 months as it would be nice to be at that point before we go to Thailand to visit some friends.  For those that are curious - flights from Hong Kong to Thailand are really affordable (should you ever be going from one to the other).
